- Q:what does steel have inside of it that makes it rust.I need the answer fast!!!!!!!!!
- Oxygen in the air reacts to Iron particles in steel to form Iron Oxide (commonly known as rust).
- Q:So I was thinking about doing corset waist training and I wanted to know where I can get a real steel boned corset?
- Hi, okorder / There are 3 types of corsets: Fashion corsets, Authentic corsets and Waist training corsets. The fashion corsets are designed for light enclasping of body. They are made with plastics bones usually. The authentic corsets can reduce your waist size about 4 - 5 and the waist training corsets about 6. They both are made with steel spirals and flat bones. The waist training corsets are recommended for experienced wearers only. Look on info pages of the seller. The corsets reinforced with plastic bones are cheap with low durability.
- Q:what is the stucture of high carbon steel
- I dont know percentages just that it is basic steel with added carbon it is used for tooling and other reasons that need a steel that can be hardened ~~
- Q:There's this huge community of steelians (steelites?) in my town. Has anybody heard of this Dr. Steel?
- Here are twenty that I grew up listening to, such a lot of them within the loved ones auto in which I had 0 manage over what used to be performed. But I nonetheless love each one in every of them to nowadays... Sea Cruise- Frankie Ford Walk Don't Run- The Ventures Don't Worry Baby- The Beach Boys Bus Stop- The Hollies These Boots Are Made For Walking- Nancy Sinatra I Saw Her- Mamas Papas A Taste Of Honey- Herb Alpert Everybody's Talking At Me- Nilsson Superstar- The Carpenters Indian Reservation- Paul Revere The Raiders Come And Get It- Badfinger Tell Me Something Good- Rufus Come And Get Your Love- Redbone Higher Ground- Stevie Wonder Waterloo- ABBA How Long (Has This Been Going On)- Ace The Hustle- Van McCoy More More More- Andrea True Connection Shining Star- Earth, Wind Fire Got To Give It Up- Marvin Gaye
- Q:I was reading about the Colt 38 Super Custom and it said it's optional between a carbon steel frame or a stainless steel frame. What is the difference? There is also a choice between aluminium or stainless steel hammers and triggers can you also tell me the difference between them please?
- Carbon steel will corrode much more easily than stainless steel, and stainless can be made stronger than carbon steel. Stainless steel is also usually heavier than carbon steel, which helps to control recoil when the gun is fired (recoil is not eliminated, only reduced). Stainless steel can also be polished to a mirror finish, so it doesn't have to be chrome-plated for that shine. Probably the biggest plus to using stainless over carbon steel, though, is the fact that it is far less prone to crystalization than carbon steel. When steel crystalizes, it becomes brittle, and can break at the worst possible times. Bad thing about stainless: It generally costs more. Aluminum is much lighter than any steel, size-for-size, and can be just as strong, if not stronger, than steel; I've worked with aluminum alloys that require special-made tooling. The difference, besides the weight issue, is that aluminum (even most alloys) will become softer when it is heated to a specific point -- which is why it is not used for the barrels of firearms using explosive powders as the propellent source. Because of the cost of the alloys which can withstand the heat generated in the barrel of a firearm, it is just less expensive to use a steel barrel. And for a fella that is so pro-gun, the previous answerer sure seems ignorant of 'em.
- Q:Are Steel Building Kits really helpful while erecting a steel building?
- Of course yes! Steel building kit is design specific corresponding to the type of steel building required to be constructed or erected. The steel building kit consists of all the necessities needed by the purchaser or the investor. As steel buildings are prefabricated or pre-engineered they are manufactured in factories in various sections and parts which are to be brought to the construction site to be assembled. So in any case they are beneficial :)
- Q:I understand that Stainless Steel is a low carbon steel having minimum 10.5% chromium content in it there r 60 different type of stainless steel. Kindly informa) Is this info correct?????b) Which stainless steel can get rusted or can have superficial rust????
- Stainless steel is a generic term for a whole range (there are more than 60 types) of Fe-Cr alloys. They all contain some amount of C and some alloys include a good number of other alloying elements. In almost all cases, the materials have corrosion resistance due the Cr atoms that are in solid solution with the Fe matrix. Under corrosive conditions, the Cr forms a thin tight coherent layer of Cr-oxide. This Cr oxide coating prevents further corrosion so long as it is not chemically or physically removed. If the SS has been subject to mechanical abrasion, the corrosion resistance can sometimes be restored by a light exposure to nitric acid which passivates the surface, restoring the Cr-oxide layer. The carbon content is an important factor in corrosion preformance but so is the heat treatment. Under the wrong conditions and in different environments, all SSs can rust. One of the most common corrosion problems is sensitization which occurs in the heat affect zone (HAZ) around welds. If the C content is high enough and the heat is high enough, the Cr atoms in solid solution form Cr-carbides and are no longer available to form a protective Cr-oxide. The corrosion resistance can be restored by appropriate heat treatment.
- Q:I already have the county permits and bank loan, but the foundation hasn't been poured. Is it too late to convert to steel?
- Steel is going to be a whole different world. You will need to go back to square one and get house plans that are drawn for structural steel. First thing you need to do is find a builder that knows how to build with steel and get an idea of the price.
- Q:i have purchased a high dollar Martin guitar and i was wondering if there are many people out there that have used steel string acoustics for classical and flamenco guitar playing.otherwise i will need a nylon stringeror.. uld i put nylon strings on an old yamaha steel string guitar that i have?
- Guitars built for either nylon or steel strings are constructed differently. You will have problems putting nylon strings on a steel stringed guitar and visa verse. I say NEITHER is a good idea. If I were in your shoes, I would walk on line or to a guitar store and purchase a nylon stringed guitar. That's what I did years ago and now I am hooked. I got a second hand Takamine A/E that work just fine for a couple hundred and then just a yr or so ago I got a brand new one, an EC132C and I just LOVE it. As my skills improve I plan on upgrading to a custom built acoustic only with a cutaway. I like cutaways but not the electronics. I never plug into my amp hardly at all. Yamaha makes nylon guitars too VERY cheap and real good tonal quality, I was VERY impressed with one that I played. I upgraded my tuners on my new Takamine to Schaller 16:1 and put the old Takamine tuners on that Yamaha and it's a really nice little guitar to kick around on when I am at that person's place.
- Q:How does stainless steel soap work? I have read the detailed explanation on Wikipedia, but their desciption seems skeptical on the actual chemical process that may take place from using such an item. Is there an actual scientific explanation to how stainless steel soap is able to clean your hands, when it is only a piece of metal?
