Application

Aluzinc Steel can be widely used in transportation, light industry, civil usage and farming. It is also the perfect building material in construction for making roofing tile, steel profiles for wall partition, T-bar, studs, fireproof door, air conditioning duct and home appliance.

Q:Why people prefer prefabricated buildings these days? Recently my friend has told me that he is going to owe a steel house so I was just thinking are these steel structures really durable and cheaper than concrete structures?
Hi., I think steel is the best option for the building ..
Q:I'm missing the arguement, and I've seen another question like this... but the steel toe issue has 2 scenario's right?... Let me label them out, the 2nd is the one that no one talks about?Note to anyone - how are your catapillar boots, your wolverines, and then your cheap walmart/sears brands?1. Steel toe on, toes get cut off because of something falling on them. OUCH!.. Reattach perhaps?2. This one is what I question. No steel toe, large object falls on toes. SMASH... Pudding in your shoes.Wouldn't it be safer to say you'de be better off with a steel toe?
You're talking worst case scenarios here man. The steel toe isn't for parking tractors on, it's to keep you going when everything less than catastrophic occurs. It's like safety goggles protecting a person's eyes. They work great, but only to a point...
Q:I am making a sword of 1060 carbon steel and would like to know how to heat treat it once it's ready, could anyone help please?
Heat treating easy, HA! It is the most critical part of bladesmithing. Done wrong and all those hours of work go up in smoke (or a snap of the steel). You'll need a bucket of oil, preferably one that is deep enough to go in point first. If not you'll have to go in edge first, not recommended on a double edged blade, ok for single edge. You'll need to build a charcoal fire long enough for the blade. You will need to blow air under the fire to get it hot enough, the challenge is getting the heat even. You get the fire going and established, put the blade in turning it back and forth (if you keep turning it in the same direction when it heats up you could work a twist in it). When it starts turning red pull it out and touch it with a magnet, if the magnet sticks put it back. Keep heating and repeating until the magnet no longer sticks. Heat a little more, then quench rapidly point first. Don't let the blade lean to one side as warpage will occur. When it cools enough to touch, check with a file. If the doesn't file cut then you've properly hardened the steel and it's ready for temper. Now comes the really hard part. Grind the scale off carefully, preferably with a side grinder with a flap wheel. I've had hard wheel break freshly hardened blades. After cleaning you'll need to put it in an oven (preferred) or use a torch and carefully heat the blade. Watch the temper colors (oven temp 500-550F) or with the torch as the steel turns colors blue to purple for a double edged weapon. Any warpage that occurs needs to be worked out at temping temp.
Q:Is the product of mild steel environmentally friendly? does it produce any emissions? The same question for leather aswell.
Steel just rusts, it doesn't produce any emissions just sitting there. They even make architectural steel called Corten to rust to a nice patina. If you consider how the steel was made in the first place, a great big NO! Steel making requires massive amounts of electricity plus it gives off some nasty fumes in the liquid state. Leather itself doesn't emit much of anything, but the dyes might. Again though, if you look at how it's made, tanning leather is right up there with steel mills and paper mills for pollution, some of the worst.
Q:What are the pros and cons to selecting a graphite shaft sand wedge over steel shaft?
The way to resolve the selection is to go with the shaft that matches the other clubs in your set. If you have steel shafted irons go with steel. You will find the similar feel when you hit shots is most important.
Q:I would like to buy a new cold steel recon 1 folding knife. My concern is the knife is made in Taiwan, will the quality of blade/overall make is lower quality compare with those made in US/JAPAN? The plan is use as an EDC, any good suggestion with similar style? Most important to me is reliability, 2)sharpness, 3) maintance than 4)cost. Anyone can point me into right direction? Please share, Thanks in advance.
I think that 440 stainless steel is pretty good. I like Gerber,Kershaw knives in 440 stainless steel. D2 steel is also as good or better than 440. I am not sure of Taiwan/China steel.
Q:I am trying to make a homemade fender eliminator for my motorcycle and the instructions from the site I found said to use 22 gage weld steel. I went to lowes and all they had was 26 gage sheet metal. What is the difference between the two? Is weld steel less flexible?
Gauge is a measure of thickness. 19 Ga = 0.0418 20 Ga = 0.0359 22 Ga = 0.0299 Higher numbers are obviously thinner sheets. To my knowledge the way it works is going up five gauges means the thickness is reduced by half. For example 10 Ga. is 0.1345 in, while 15 Ga is 0.0673 in.
Q:Hi, does anyone know where i can find more about this topic ? fire resistant steels for structural applications. thanks
Gavin, the danger posed by steel columns and girders during a fire in a building, is not the danger of the steel melting but of the steel expanding and snapping the bolts that hold all of the steel together. Very high temperatures can be achieved in a building fire because the up-draft caused by the rising hot air, delivers a massive amount of oxygen to the burning carpet, paper and furniture. When a steel frame office tower burns, the heat expands the steel and snaps the bolts. This causes the building to fall-down and not necessarily, burn-down. I am too lazy to look-up the melting point of steel but it is not very high. That is one reason for the columns and girders in steel framed buildings, to be covered in asbestos (which is a fatally toxic material) or magnesium di-oxide.
Q:They say it's some six times stronger than steel. need some explanation.
Lol I dont know where you heard that, there probably saying for small insects like for instence a small instect in a spider web is like us( humans ) in steel but no I could break through a web with my soft hair or finger, like not an ant because there extremely strong but like a flea
Q:I bought a damascus steel knife. It will be used for display. Nothing like hunting/skinning. If It is just sitting around, will it rust? (assuming that it isn't getting wet) Thanks for the help.
For many spo Damascus Knifertsmen, a hunting knife is one of the most important and cherished pieces of outdoor equipment they will ever own. Hunting knives are used for everything from cutting rope to field dressing a fresh kill, which means they need to be strong, sharp, durable and able to withstand the rain. Many avid out doors men prefer to invest in a high-quality hunting knife that will last for years and will perform reliably in the field. Because of this desire for reliability and quality workmanship, the Damascus blade knife has become an increasingly popular choice within the past few decades. Following is a look at what a Damascus knife is and why it’s so coveted by hunters.
