- Steel is the most recycled material. But in recycling steel you would need the usual equipment in a foundry. The finished (recycled) product cannot be discerned visually. You cannot differ it from those coming from virgin steel ingots. The finished product (or steel material) would have to depend on your requirement, whether it is for structural, architectural or otherwise. For your requirement (enough to build a cruise ship), it would be best to go to a smelter. You might get better prices and quality compared to that from a scrap yard.

- Sorry to tell you this, but it is the quality of the stainless steel utensils. I had the same problem in the past. It pays to spend a little more when you plan to wash your silverware in the dishwasher. I did and I am very happy with the new silverware. I never changed my detergent, just a better quality silverware.

- Tungsten is not steel. Tungsten is a chemical element. What they do is add an alloy mixture to tungsten and it turns into Tungsten Carbide. You want to find a ring with a nickel alloy, some manufacturers cheap out and add cobalt instead. Make sure the ring you buy does not contain cobalt. Steel is an alloy consisting mostly of iron, with a carbon.

- Are you talking about steel wool? You should be able to find that at Wal*Mart or Target. If they don't carry it, I would recommend looking for a kitchen supplies store in a phonebook.
