Hot Rolled Checkered Steel Plate

Diamond plate, also known as checker plate and tread plate, Is a type of metal stock with a regular pattern of raised diamonds or lines on one side, with the reverse side being featureless.

Diamond plate is usually steel, stainless steel or aluminum. Steel types are normally made by hot rolling, although modern manufacturers also make a raised and pressed diamond design.

The added texture reduces the risk of slipping, making diamond plate a solution for stairs, catwalks, walkways, and ramps in
industrial settings.

Its non-skid properties mean that diamond plate is frequently used on the interior of ambulances and on the footplates of firetrucks. Additional applications include truck beds and trailer floors.

Q:I have the game of the year edition for fallout 3 but there's no mission or quest saying it's called broken steel so what is it actually called and where is it? Please describe the quest in case I mightve already done it without even knowing.
Broken Steel fixes the original ending of the game so that you can continue past the end and continue exploring. The Broken Steel missions also take place after the original ending of the game. One way you can tell if Broken Steel is working though is if you are finding enemies added with Broken Steel (Super Mutant Overlords, Hellfire Enclave Troops, and so on), and if you can level up past level 20 and get new perks added between 20 and 30. You can even see all of these new perks any time you level up, so next time you level up, scroll down and see if there are new perks below the level 20 perks. If there are, then Broken Steel is working properly.
Q:In pounds per square inch what is the tensile strength of strong steel?
The term tensile strength refers to the amount of tensile (stretching) stress a material can withstand before breaking or failing. The ultimate tensile strength of a material is calculated by dividing the area of the material tested (the cross section) by the stress placed on the material, generally expressed in terms of pounds or tons per square inch of material. Tensile strength is an important measure of a material's ability to perform in an application, and the measurement is widely used when describing the properties of metals and alloys.
Q:where can i find information online about steel residential homes that use solar energy?

Q:I'm sort of a sword maker. You could say I'm an amateur blacksmith. I want to find a dependable source of high-grade steel. I've made a few blades and from what I know about the difference between true steel and cheap steel, I have yet to work with such. All of the metal I have used could not have been true high carbon spring steel because while they are hard, their properties do not reflect that of true steel. I would sincerely appreciate any guidance on where I could order some fine-quality steel so I could produce a truly fine blade.
The phrase true steel has no technical meaning. Steel comes in many alloys and grades. Sorry I have no idea where to get different grades and types of steel. McMaster Carr carries a lot of steel bars, sheets, etc.
Q:i'm looking into pedal steel guitars, and I would like some suggestions or links and info on what kind i should get.
Try okorder -The Art of Steel Guitar/ Steel guitar players -Take it away Leon- McAuliffe and 'Speedy West' were a couple greats. In the late '50s, Speedy was playing a Fender 1000 Pedal steel. He often did duets with Jimmy Bryant The Fastest Guitar Player In The Country! / note also the 'Emmons Guitar Company':
Q:Hi can someone help me pleaseis there any available data for mechanical behaviour of recycled steel, i need to compare them with new steel.
Most recycled steel is blended with new steel at the steel mill. Scrap steel that is reused directly doesn't change it properties because it has been used. That is unless it has been in certain environments such as ones with hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide etc. Then the steel can become brittle. You might look for information on the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE). They have lots of information on metals and what causes problems.
Q:I should have known, but magnets don't stick to stainless steel, so now I'm at a loss, I can't display my photos on the fridge. any ideas?
Hi There, I am re-doing my kitchen and since my all stainless steel refrigerator will no longer be used to hold all my memos and pictures, I will hang a magnetic board in one area of my kitchen which will hold all the photos and memos that I had before and it would look very neat this way.. bably much neater than when they were on the fridge. Also, you can get a multiphoto frame for the photos and hang this on the wall. Then, the magnetic board can be just for notes and clips with invitations, etc. Hope this helps.
Q:Is there any noticable or perceived difference between smoking out of a pipe with a brass screen and a stainless steel screen?
Its not a good idea to make the whole thing of metal. Metal is a good conductor of heat and its bound to get too hot for you lips during sustained use. Thats assuming your going to smoke tobacco with it. If you plan on smoking small hits of a particular substance then it may be alright. Mind you pipes are poor choice for this kind of smoking. So sticking with the tobacco pipe I would make it out of wood or talc not metal.
Q:looking to buy a sashimi knife. what is the difference between white steel (1and2) and blue steel (1and2) in terms on characteristics. what gets sharper? what holds edge longer? basically any info on the pros and cons of each steel would be SO GREATLY APPRECIATED! thanks in advance to all who answer. i'm leaning towards white-2 steel for my first sashimi knife, started training on the sushi bar and need a new tool!

Q:I was watching a documentary on the samurai vs the European knight. It said that the when Japan was being invaded by the (cant remember) they needed a new weapon. The enemies armor made iron swords useless. While steel swords broke when in combat. So to combat this the Japanese made a hybrid sword. They used a special mold that made the swords back iron while the part that makes contact with the enemy was steel. Also the sword was curved so it increased its armor and cutting power. This revolutionary design made the the sword stronger. The iron back made it not break while the steel edge made it cut through the enemies armor. I want to know how iron is stronger than steel, and how steel can cut better than iron.
Yes because metal alloys are comparatively more strong than pure metal. The worst thing is that iron gets rusted whereas steel does not.And the skyscrapers are made of steel buddy , iron is not used in them.
