Item specifice
Hot Rolled Steel is widely available in the A36 steel alloy.
The process to create Hot Rolled Steel creates a more ductile steel with a rough surface finish and is sometimes more difficult to machine.
The cost is usually much less than a similar Cold Rolled product.
Hot Rolled Steel A36 comes in many shapes including: hot rolled steel flat bars, hot rolled steel flat bars, hot rolled steel round bars, hot rolled steel square bars, hot rolled steel channels, hot rolled steel angles, and hot rolled tubing.
Order Hot Rolled Steel Alloys in A36 Hot Rolled Steel Alloys and Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Sheets in small quantities and no minimums of all Stainless Steel at The Metal Store.
This makes hot rolled steel a good choice for the manufacturing of structural components, such as I beams or simple cross sections, such as rail tracks. It is also used to produce sheet metal.

- Q:I want to purchase steel for construction purpose, What aspects should I keep in mind while deciding that which company should I contact for this?
- I'd keep in mind whether your potential supplier is close enough to still give you good service, and provide delivery when you need it. I'd want to contact as many local companies as possible, in order to get competitive bids. Then, I'd pick the lowest cost bids that I felt would still provide the service I needed. Most decisions of this sort, in the end, are based on price.
- Q:I was looking at my Great-Grandfather's immigration form from when he immigrated from Scotland and he listed his occupation as a steel dresser. What does a steel dresser do?
- The steel dresser was a person who would clean the freshly made cast steel pieces at a foundry/ steel factory. Usually when the steel comes out it will have some extra bits and pieces sticking out that need to be removed. The steel is melted and cast into shape so there will be like a little raised line where edges of the mold met or a few blobs sticking out where the hot steel dripped over the edge or something. The dresser was the person who got rid of that kind of stuff to make a more finished/even product.
- Q:Steel being my favorite type, I just picked up Heart Gold today, my gf got Soul Silver...I was wondering which steel types are available and somewhat easily obtainable in HG (and/or what is the earliest steel type I can get?)
- for me would be steelex but u have to get onix and get him to level fifty and trade with a friend and he will evolve into steelex as long as your friend gives it back to you lol
- Q:haii, i have this guitar thats quite old and im not quite sure whether to put steel strings on it. there were very thin badly worn steel strings on it when i got it, so i think its an acoustic
- That's a very low-end Kay, maybe from the 60's or 70's. It has a weird mixture of steel-string and classical features that you often see in cheap imports from around that time, maybe because the factory didn't want to stock different parts for different lines. The tuners (one of which is missing) are made for steel strings. They will work with nylon but not well. The bridge is a generally classical type but appears to be bolted on and seems to have some compensation carved into the saddle, which indicates it may have been intended for steel strings. Probably it's ladder braced, which is not a great design for either type. It has a classical rosette and a steel-string pickguard. I am guessing the neck has steel reinforcement but unless there's a sticker there's no way to tell. Personally I'd put light or (preferably) extra-light steel strings on it. The short scale length will help keep the tension down. I'd keep an eye on the neck though. You could also try silk steel to be on the safe side, but the bass response will probably be lacking.

- Q:Ok so i have a certain amount of money that I want to invest in either GE or US Steel. Tickers: ge, x. GE looks like a strong co, but less risk. Whereas US Steel looks risky, but high reward. :). i am willing to take risks. Any comments?
- I would go with some in one and less in the other. Given that steel prices have collapsed (and seeing as the Chinese economy is going into a recession, they will probably stay low for a while) I would say that because US Steel is a blue chip company it will be around for the long term, but, it won't make much for a while. GE on the other hand has been beaten down thanks to some mismanagement issues under current CEO Jeffrey Immelt, however, they have a range of strong products (save for their broadcast division, RCA/NBC). Given that the stock is at a severe low with the company itself being worth quite a bit (with a fair amount of bailout funds coming to its' financial division) and the Obama administrations' green initiatives coming online over the next couple of years the demand for their products will be high. I would simply say 70/20 GE/US. Good luck.
- Q:it has 2 be 20 inches overall, and 2and1/2 inches wide and .25 or more inches thick... im thinking truck steel but im not sure thx
- A sawmill blade(circular type) It`s good steel already hardened and you saw out your knife pattern with a skill saw loaded with an abrasive cut-off wheel. Norton wheels are best from Home Depot.
- Q:could someone please explain to me in detail the functions of stainless steel wall ties?
- wall ties are used to tie brick coursing to the back up wall...stainless steel will simply last longer than the others but you will pay dearly for them...
- Q:I already have the county permits and bank loan, but the foundation hasn't been poured. Is it too late to convert to steel?
- Steel is going to be a whole different world. You will need to go back to square one and get house plans that are drawn for structural steel. First thing you need to do is find a builder that knows how to build with steel and get an idea of the price.
- Q:I was just thinking, is their a way to make steel qualities inherent in concrete, therefore eliminating the need for re bar?
- Mixing hot steel with liquid concrete would be very hazardous to your health. Steal in a molten state would flash the water in the concrete mix into steam and the steam would blow concrete and steel out of your mold. This would be about like being shot with a shotgun. This occurred in a steel mill near me some years ago on a rainy day when some steel splashed from a ladle and landed on a puddle of water, part of the siding was blown off the building and one worker sent to the hospital.
