- Q:Today I have a nail on the rear tire Will the dealer cover it it‘s has warranty 2013 civic 19k miles Or will have to buy new one
- You dont even need to buy a new tire just go to a gas station and they'll seal the whole for like $20
- Q:truck tires 225/70/15
- you can try les schwab but also tire factory BUT also try wrecking yards cause they usually have tires for cheap but you have to have them mounted. when you are getting a tire, a couple of things to look at is the age of the casing which is right above the bead on the sidewall. it is the last 3 numbers. it is the week and year in which the casing was made; so dot means that the tire was made in the 3rd week of 2006. if the tire is more than 5 years old then id be cautious of that tire. but.one thing to remember is that the legal tread depth is 2/32nds and all tires have indicators between the treadsshowing when its time to replace the tires.
- Q:Ok is it possible to use a 175/60/15 tire on a car that has 175/65/15 tires
- You can probably use them. The 60 and 65 are percentages. They mean that the tire you want to use is 175 millimeters wide, and its height from the rim is 60% of that. So the 175/60/15 is a slightly lower profile tire than the 175/65/15. Low profile tires tend to have stiffer sidewalls and better control, along with a harsher ride.
- Q:How are these tires differ from each other?
- radial tires handle better then bias and you get a better ride with radial tires because bias tires are harder then radials.
- Q:When changing tire one by one, different tire is used, different brand, some high performance, some regular cheap new tire, will it create problem such as balance, wheel alignment ?
- Yes, they are notoriously noisy and poor in other respects too.
- Q:I just bought a Trek 7.3 and am curious if I can put bigger/nubbier tires on it? I‘m afraind to go riding on the CO towpath on the road tires it came with.
- Sounds like you need some Cyclocross tyres, which are essentially a 700c tyre designed for both off and on-road use. Go to any tyre manufacturer website and look up their 'Cyclocross' range, and read the tyre description to see if it's got what you need. I put the Maxxis link below to give you an idea what I mean.
- Q:throw out the rear tires, then rotate the front tires to the rear, then put new tires on the front?
- I would check the shocks and rear suspension for worn parts. Have a 4 wheel alignment, rotate the present front tires to the rear and buy 2 new tires for the front. This should solve your problem and more than double the life of the tires as well.
- Q:how much air in a bicycle tire?
- mountain bike standard tires doesn't mean much. The specific tire width, along with the weight of the rider are used to determine needed air pressure. Bike tires have a pressure range embossed on the tire sidewall. If you are light, set your pressure to the low end of that range. If you are heavy, go to the high end of the pressure range. For example 26 x 2.30 tires for a light rider need far less pressure than 26 x 1.75 tires being used by a heavy rider. The tires themselves should provide you with the information you require
- Q:i heard there are self seal able bicycle tires not the inner tube but the tire it self. place links down below thanks Brian
- The first answered nailed it! So-called self sealing tires and/or tubes simply don't work. I've seen those slime methods fail both in bicycle auto tires too. Thank God, the tires that came on my bike have an inner liner that deter flats tremendously. Only one so far in slightly over 2 years and 1,500 miles.
- Q:I recently bought new tires for my 07‘ Chevy Silverado and I was asking about larger rims and tires possibly 20 inch or more and the gentleman said that larger rims and tires on newer vehicles will affect my on board computer and he does not recomend it. Is this true? I see vehicles all the time with larger rims and tires.
- It can affect the computer. It is a possibility, but probably it's not enough of a difference to matter. Your truck's on board computer controls many things that rely on calculations based on the revolution of the wheel. These calculations are based on how often the hub turns, but if you place a larger diameter wheel on the hub, the truck actually goes farther on one revolution of the hub than the computer thinks it does. Systems that may be affected by this are: anti-lock braking system, tire pressure monitor, speedometer and odometer. I am not a fan of changing wheel diameters on vehicles, however it actually is not that big of a deal in most instances.
